Gardai across the north west have been involved in an operation to combat the theft of Christmas trees in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.
Gangs have been targeting farms where trees are being felled ready for export.
Operation Hurdle, a seasonal initiative by Garda was launched over the weekend.
Garda Paul White from Ballyshannon Garda station says there will be additional garda activity including armed checkpoints targeting those suspected in the theft of Christmas Trees.
