The ATU has created a “stimulus” for the North West region.
That’s according to Midlands North West MEP Colm Markey who was speaking this week following the EU approval of €217 million in development aid.
Since the merger earlier this year, the Atlantic Technological University has already started to attract EU funding.
Latest data suggests that the northern and western region is lagging behind.
