Council commit to safety survey on section of N17



Sligo County Council has committed to carrying out a survey of a section of the N17 after serious safety concerns have been raised regarding the Castleoye and Temple House crossroads.

 

The speed limit in the area has been reduced to 80km however it’s thought that more measures are needed along the route.

 

The crossroads is home to a number of junctions with issues said to be arising on accessing the main road.

 

The Council says it will liaise with TII as it relates to investigating the matter further.
