Call for intake of Ukrainian refugees into Donegal to halt



The Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council believes the intake of Ukrainian refugees into Donegal must be halted until such time as an analysis takes place.

 

Cllr Liam Blaney is claiming that some of the accommodation is overcrowded while there’s concern that in some cases, access to the likes of healthcare and schools has been challenging.

 

Cllr Blaney believes that an urgent inspection must be carried out to ensure that all dwellings currently being used is up to standard and their needs are being met.

 

He says while the review is being carried out, other neighbouring counties should step up to the plate:
