A Sligo Councillor believes that putting waste collection services back into public ownership would fare better for people’s pockets.
There are fears locally that the price of bins increasing will have a knock on effect on illegal dumping.
Sligo County Council is going to write to the Government calling for the move as it doesn’t have the power to bring it forward.
