Tánaiste takes yet another swipe at Donegal TD in Dail



The Tánaiste says he can understand why Sinn Fein doesn’t want to talk about their alternative budget.

 

Leo Varadkar has taken yet another swipe at Donegal TD Pearse Doherty in the Dail this afternoon, outlining a number of what he termed shortcomings within Sinn Fein’s proposed Budget.

 

It happened as Deputy Doherty had been highlighting concerns over people who are on a pay as you go electricity contract being potentially cut off over the winter.

 

But when Deputy Doherty asked if the Tanaiste agreed that disconnection should be banned in the months ahead for prepay metres, Leo Varadkar took the opportunity to identify where he felt Sinn Fein fell down in their plans:
