The Taoiseach says a staffing issue at Sligo University Hospital shouldn’t have to be raised on the floor of the Dail.

 

Michael Martin was responding to Sligo Leitrim TD Marian Harkin who had been highlighting that dermatology clinics at the hospital were cancelled this week due to administrative staff shortages.

 

However, it’s understood that a locum medical secretary is being appointed as an interim measure.

 

Speaking in the Dail, the Taoiseach says that the level of detail on the running of the facility being disclosed is concerning:
