A Sligo Leitrim TD has backed calls for free and accessible public transport for all.
The Independent Group has forward a motion on the proposal in the Dáil today, led by Donegal TD Thomas Pringle.
Speaking in the Dail this morning, Independent TD Marian Harkin described it as ambitious motion but one that’s overdue.
Deputy Harkin says it’s presents an opportunity for change and is timely given the current cost of living crisis:
