The former head of Yeats Society in Sligo has died.
Stella Mew had been associated with the Yeats Summer School since 1965 and was also a former head of Rathdown school in Glenageary, Co Dublin.
The current Director of Yeats Society Sligo, Susan O’Keefe has been paying tribute to Ms Mew and says she was a leading light in keeping the story of Yeats alive:
