Speculation continues to mount ahead of Budget 2023.



Budget negotiations continued into the earlier hours of this morning, ahead of tomorrow’s announcement.

 

The 14 billion euro package is expected to include energy credits of 600 euro for all households this winter, and a double social-welfare payment in November.

 

The rate at which people pay the top rate of tax will also be increased – to almost 40,000 euro.

 

Public Expenditure Minister, Michael McGrath, says managing the public finances is important to avoid problems down the line.

 

 

Meanwhile A Donegal TD believes that Budget 2023 will fall far short of what’s needed.
