Drumkeerin’s run in this year’s Leitrim Smith Monumentals intermediate football championship came to an end at the quarter-final stage on Saturday as they were decisively beaten by Kiltubrid in Carrick-on-Shannon on a final scoreline of 2-16 to 0-13.
The sides had drawn in the group stage of the championships just three weeks ago but here, Kiltubrid proved much the stronger team.
Their prize is a semi-final meeting with Aughnasheelin who were too good for Bornacoola in Saturday’s other quarter-final, winning by 3-10 to 0-6.
The second semi-final will be between Allen Gaels and Annaduff.
