Gardai have brought a standoff in County Donegal to a peaceful resolution.
A media blackout was lifted last night after a man barricaded himself in the room of a house in the Letterkenny area.
Local Garda negotiators attached to the National Unit talked to him when the situation unfolded yesterday afternoon.
The standoff came to and end shortly before 7pm.
