Sligo Councillor calls for emergency meeting over local bus services



A Sligo Councillor is calling on the Minister for Transport and Bus Eireann to attend an emergency meeting with the local authority in Sligo in relation to the alleged lack of reliability over services being provided in the north west.

 

Sligo Drumcliff Councillor Marie Casserly has requested the meeting after she was contacted the concerned parents of a teenage girl that was left stranded in Sligo after a scheduled bus due to travel to Ballina failed to run.

 

The Independent Councillor says such incidents do little to instil confidence in public transport.
