Mullaghmore man expects King Charles to be a successful Monarch



A Mullaghmore man and acquaintance of the Royal family has expressed his confidence that King Charles will be a successful Monarch adding that he ‘has the common touch with people’.

 

 

King Charles will deliver a public address later this evening.

 

It is expected that he will be officially proclaimed King over the weekend at St James’s Palace in London, in front of a ceremonial body known as the Accession Council.

 

 

John Barry met the late Queen Elizabeth in the past, his brother Pat Barry worked at the Broadlands Country House Estate which was owned by Lord Mountbatten while his mother worked at Classiebawn Castle which was also owned by the Mountbatten family.

 

Paying tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth, Mr Barry described her as ‘gracious, kind and down to earth’.
