Sligo swimmer Mona McSharry produced a brilliant performance to qualify for the final of the 100m breaststroke at the European Aquatics Championships in Rome.
The 21-year-old was the third fastest swimmer over the two semi-finals, finishing second in her race behind Italy’s Pilato Benedetta.
The Grange native advances to the final which takes place at 5.28pm Irish time on Saturday.
