Councillor expresses concern over water supplies in north Sligo

A Sligo Councillor is waning those being served by a water supply in the north Sligo area to conserve water as much as possible over the coming days.

Councillor Thomas Healy says homes being served in the Luke’s Bridge area have had long running difficulties with the availability of water in recent times during warm spells of weather.

Irish Water says its watching water levels across the County closely to see if restrictions will be needed as Ireland heads for another heatwave.

Cllr Healy  the battle to secure an alternative supply of water is ongoing but for the present customers being served by this supply will have to aware of the challenges that exists when it comes to maintaining the supply.
