TDs told to hold emergency meeting over Sligo bus cancellations



There’s further pressure on all local TDs to hold an emergency meeting with the Transport Minister and Bus Eireann following more disruptions over the weekend.

 

The 8pm service from Dublin to Donegal Town on Sunday night and a string of local services in Sligo town were all impacted on Sunday and yesterday, leaving passengers stranded yet again.

 

Sligo Sinn Fein Cllr Thomas Healy has branded the situation as ridiculous and believes that Bus Eireann could be doing more in tackling the issue.

 

Cllr Healy says it’s also incumbent on TDs in the North West to meet with the bus operator as a matter of urgency:
