Harkin urges Government to safeguard cash services in banks



A Sligo Leitrim TD believes that it’s clear that banks are trying to move more and more people online.

 

It’s after the Financial Services Union says banks are deliberately making in-person banking more difficult.

 

The union which represents staff in the financial sector claims banks are failing their personal customers, small firms and their staff.

 

It follows AIB’s proposal last month to turn 70 of its branches cashless, a decision it later rowed back on.
