Still a long way to go to increase housing in Sligo – Minister



The Housing Minister has acknowledged while some improvements have been made, there’s still a long way to go in bringing the level of housing in Sligo and elsewhere up to standard.

 

Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien is in County Sligo today for a number of key engagements.

 

A meeting at the County Hall today heard that Sligo County Council aim to deliver over 620 social housing units by 2026 while the vacancy rate for the Sligo urban area currently stands at 3.4%
