Warning as almost 80 Covid patients hospitalised in North West



The HSE is warning of the coming winter because of the threat of flu and Covid with 77 people being treated for Covid in north west hospitals this morning.

 

There are 981 patients with the virus in hospital, with around half being incidental admissions.

 

31 Covid patients are currently being treated in Sligo University Hospital while a further 46 are being treated in Letterkenny.

 

Whether patients are in hospital because of Covid or just test positive for the virus, they require special care and extra space.
