Donegal County Council meeting adjourned amid disruption



The latest sitting of Donegal County Council was adjourned over a number of disruptions in the Council Chamber.

 

The meeting got underway yesterday afternoon at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny, however after several incidents and adjournments, it was finally decided to adjourn until next Monday.

 

Gardai were also called to the meeting to take statements over an alleged phone theft in the Chamber.

 

It’s believed that the phone belonged to Sinn Fein Cllr Gary Doherty and was taken from the Council Chamber by another individual.
