The fire at the Heron warehouse in Finisklin in Sligo has been extinguished.
The blaze broke out at the derelict building earlier this morning.
The fire service has confirmed that the road will however remain closed until they are finished at the scene.
Residents are now permitted to open their windows and doors in the area.
It’s not yet known how the fire started and it’s expected that an investigation into the incident will get underway today.
