Latest Hospital Trolley and Covid-19 figures published



There were 42 people waiting for a bed at the two main North West hospitals this morning according to the latest trolley watch report from the INMO.

 

32 people were waiting at Sligo University Hospital while a further 10 were waiting at Letterkenny.

 

In the respective emergency departments there are 21 people waiting in Sligo and 7 in Letterkenny.

 

Overall, there were 438 people waiting for beds at hospitals across the country today.

 

When it comes to Covid-19 patients receiving treatment in the region, 44 patients are in Letterkenny and 25 in Sligo

 

Nationally there are 885 people are in hospital with Covid 19  an increase of 59 since yesterday.

 

There are 32 patients with the disease in ICU.

 

It comes as Taoiseach Michael Martin says the roll out of a fourth round of Covid vaccines would take place in the autumn.
