Damien Duff’s Shelbourne are the only Premier Division side to have take maximum points off Rovers so far this season – beating Rovers 1-0 at the Showgrounds in April, and 2-1 at Tolka Park in May.
New signing Frank Liivac may be available for selection, provided his international clearance comes through in time.
The Estonian international spoke this week about his decision to move to Sligo.
Meanwhile, Rovers home fixture against UCD has been moved from Saturday, July 16th, to Sunday, July 17th, at the Showgrounds with a 6pm kick-off.
The change of date gives Rovers an extra day to prepare following their Europa Conference League home tie against Bala Town on Thursday, July 14th.
