Leitrim Councillor blasts delays in issuing compensation payments to Drumkeerin farmers



The plight of the farmers impacted by the landslide on Shass Mountain was included on te agenda at this month’s meeting of Councillors from the Manorhamilton Municpal District of Leitrim County Council.

 

Cllr Mary Bohan raised the issue when she called for the compensation payments to be sorted for the farmers.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM the Drumkeerin based Fianna Fáil Councillor says farmers have been left in limbo for too long and that payments should be issued as the farmers in question are also dealing with Agri input costs soaring at present:
