Enniskillen crowned overall winner of Ireland’s Best Kept Town Competition



Enniskillen has been crowned overall winner of Ireland’s Best Kept Town Competition.

 

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys has congratulated Enniskillen as worthy winners following an awards ceremony in the Titanic Hotel, Belfast.

 

It’s the first time in two years the competition has run due to the covid 19 pandemic.

 

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the cross-boarder collaboration of both the SuperValu TidyTowns and Northern Ireland’s “Best Kept” competitions. and its goal is to improve the appearance of towns and villages across the Island.

 

All entrants were marked against strict adjudication criteria that included cleanliness, the outward appearance of buildings, the presentation of roads and public facilities and the areas natural environment.
