Local Councillor disappointed with Sligo exclusion for the Mica Redress Scheme



A Sligo Councillor and PRO of the Sligo Pyrite group has expressed his disappointment that Sligo is not one of the counties that will be added today to the Mica Redress Scheme.

 

The Cabinet are expected to sign off on the final Mica redress plan this morning – with counties Clare and Limerick being added to the scheme.

 

A move which will add around 500 million euro to the cost, bringing it to an estimated 2.7 billion.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM news Sligo Drumcliff Councillor Tomas Healy say’s it’s disappointing for the estimated 200 affected homeowners in Sligo not to be included.
