EJ Sligo All-Stars have announced their first major overseas signing ahead of the club’s return to men’s Superleague.
Latvian-born Reinis Ščerbinskis has agreed to come to Sligo for the 2022-2023 campaign.
He’s a 6 ft 11 inches power forward and played in Italy last season.
It’s understood Ščerbinskis had attracted interest from other Irish clubs but the All-Stars have managed to secure his signature as the prepare to play Superleague basketball for the first time since the 2002 season.
