A local Councillor believes a passport office should be established in Sligo to serve the West, North West and Northern Ireland.
Independent Councillor, Marie Casserly says since an office is based in Co. Cork one should also be based in this region.
She says passport applications have increased in recent years which has increased waiting times for people.
Speaking to OceanFM news, Councillor Casserly gives her reasons for why one should be established.
