A Sligo Councillor is calling for a resolution to the ongoing dispute with medical scientists employed by the HSE.
Two more days of strike are action are planned for this week, meaning hospital waiting times and appointments will be severely impacted.
Last Wednesday saw around 14,000 hospital appointments cancelled nationwide.
The medical staff are looking for pay parity as they are paid 8% less than clinical biochemists who do a very similar job.
