A Fianna Fail Sligo Leitrim TD has described efforts in recruiting personnel into the Irish Defence Forces similar to filling an empty bucket.
Deputy Marc MacSharry says people in the force have been suffering a cost of living crisis for many years which is now further amplified by the current economic climate.
