All-Stars Hall of Fame award for Gerry Monaghan



EJ Sligo All-Stars basketball club inducted Sligo’s Gerry Monaghan into the club’s Hall of Fame at its end-of-season awards ceremony on Thursday night.

Gerry has been an integral part of the club since its inception in 1965.

His involvement, which spans more than half a century, has seen him undertake a variety of roles: player, coach, mentor, fundraiser, administrator and supporter.

Paying tribute to Gerry’s contribution to the club over the years, Jim said: “We are fortunate to know him, to appreciate his enormous commitment to this club and so ,on your behalf ,it gives me great pleasure to make this award to Gerry Monaghan as a token of our appreciation ,of his work for this club over 51 years.”
