There were 39 people waiting for beds at the two main North West Hospitals today.
The latest trolley watch report shows there were 27 people waiting at Sligo University Hospital while a further 12 were waiting at Letterkenny University Hospital.
University Hospital Limerick was the most overcrowded with 71 people waiting there.
Nationally, there were 343 people waiting at hospitals across the country today.
