Questions asked over Taoiseach’s approach to Killybegs controversy



Questions are being asked over the Taoiseach’s approach to the situation at Killybegs harbour.

 

The fish weighing debacle has been rumbling on for several weeks now and relates to a number of vessels going to Derry to land their catch becasue of controversial rules at Killybegs.

 

However, a number of in-factory weighing permits were removed because the landings took place in Derry which has been deemed by the SFPA as outside of Ireland.

 

Donegal Sinn Fein TD Padraig MacLochlainn says the Taoiseach’s ‘Shared Island’ efforts are hypocritical in light of the Killybegs situation.
