Donegal into Ulster men’s final following Cavan victory

Donegal qualified for the final of this year’s Ulster Senior Football Championship following a six-point victory over Cavan at St. Tiernach’s Park Park on Sunday afternoon.

There was few and far between the sides in the first half with both counties scoring nine points apiece.

Kilcar’s Paddy McBrearty put Declan Bonner’s side a point ahead with ten minutes of normal time remaining.

A minute later, the margin was four as second half substitute Conor O’Donnell fired past Cavan goalkeeper Raymond Galligan two minutes after coming on.

That goal sucked the life out of the Cavan challenge and the Tír Chonaill men scored their second three-pointer through Paddy McBrearty to propel themselves to the Ulster Senior Football Final against Derry or Monaghan on May 29th.

Ryan McHugh gave his thoughts to Ocean FM Sport’s Paddy McGill following the win in Clones:
