Boyle Celtic remain on course to win the club’s first Roscommon & District League Premier Division since the 1986-87 season following a 7-0 victory over Moylough 79 on Sunday afternoon.
Shane Battles (2), Michael Corrigan (2), Brian McCrann, Darren Foley and Connor Deery were all on the scoresheet as Jake McCrann’s side hold on to their three-point lead ahead of nearest challengers Ballinasloe Town with a plus twelve better goal difference with two league games remaining.
The North Roscommon club re-joined the Roscommon & District League before the start of the 2017-18 season following a successful period in the Sligo-Leitrim League in which they won the league title on three separate occasions- 2000-01, 2013-14 and 2015-16.
