A Sligo Leitrim TD says while a big effort is being made in accommodating Ukrainian refugees in the North West, more can be done.
Sinn Fein Justice Spokesperson Deputy Martin Kenny was speaking in the Dail last evening and made reference to Lough Allen Hotel in Drumshanbo which is currently housing over 200 refugees.
Deputy Kenny says more supports are needed for local schools there while a designated medical service should also be established as there is a GP issue generally in Leitrim.
There’s also a significant number of skilled refugees currently housed in Bundoran, Deputy Kenny says they have been seeking work but are meeting roadblocks:
