Ursuline College Sligo are celebrating another schools title after their senior gaelic footballers beat St Attracta’s Community School by 2-7 to 0-7 on Thursday in the Sligo LGFA Post Primary Schools final, played at Stenson Park in Carraroe.
Goals from Tara Casserly in the first half and Eimear McIntyre in the second were the crucial scores for the Ursuline in what was a keenly-contested final.
Several layers from both teams were county team-mates on the Sligo minor side which lifted the Connacht ‘B’ championship title last Monday when the Yeats County dramatically beat Roscommon on free-kicks.
