Two people were removed to Sligo University Hospital following at road traffic collision which took place on the N17 close to Collooney yesterday evening.
The two occupants of a car were injured after their vehicle left the road and collided with a tree.
It’s believed their injuries are non-life threatening.
Meanwhile A man has died in a road traffic collision in Co. Donegal.
The two car crash happened on the Mountain Road between Buncrana and Carndonagh at around 10.50 last night.
A man in his 40’s who was driving one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, where the condition of the female passenger is described as ‘serious’.
The Mountain Road is currently closed between Buncrana and Carndonagh for a forensic examination, with local diversions now in place.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward, especially anyone who may have dash-cam footage.
