Armagh trio win appeals and look set to face Donegal

Armagh have received a major boost ahead of Sunday’s Ulster Quarter Final with Donegal with the news that Stefan Campbell, Ciarán Mackin and Aidan Nugent have had their one-match suspensions lifted.

An overruling from the GAA’s Central Appeals Committee ensures that the trio escape suspensions that were handed to them following referee Paddy Neilan’s report on their part in a post-match scuffle at the county’s game league game at O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny in March.

Donegal’s Odhrán McFadden-Ferry and Neil McGee were also suspended and with Donegal deciding not to appeal, they remain suspended for this week’s key clash. Donegal opted not to appeal their one-match suspended, while Armagh did, initially unsuccessfully, as they were upheld at a Central Hearings Committee.
