Safety measures for pedestrians over bridge in Grange

Traffic going over a narrow bridge in Grange in north Sligo will have to yield to students walking to the nearby post primary school there and to pedestrians on their way to the sports complex under new safety proposals.

The new proposals under the Active Travel Scheme will improve links between the school, the sports complex, the village centre and car park on the N15.

Local Fianna Fail Councillor Donal Gilroy says the issue of safety on the bridge has been one of concern for some time.
