Corkamore graveyard continues to fall into serious disrepair says Cllr Clarke

It’s being claimed that burials cannot take place in a West Sligo Graveyard due to Health and Safety concerns.

Two funerals had to be diverted from the Corkamore graveyard Templeboy inside the space of the last year to alternative graveyards.

Calls are now being made on the local Authority in Sligo to prepare a report on what safety measures will be carried out a to upgrade the facilities at  Corkamore Graveyard.

Ballymote Tubbercurry Councillor Michael Clarke says local people are unable to attend to their family plots and as a result the graveyard is continuing to fall into serious disrepair.
