Realt na Mara Bundoran and Killybegs both made winning starts to the new Brian McCormick Sports senior league Division 1 season in Donegal on Saturday.
Bundoran, under new manager Peter McIntyre, beat Termon by 1-10 to 0-9 at the Burn Road, while Killybegs, who are also under new management (Antoine O’Hara and Shane Molloy), recorded an impressive 1-10 to 1-6 victory in Glenswilly.
League champions Naomh Conaill play neighbours Ardara in their opening game on Sunday, while Kilcar, under new bainisteoir Conor Cunningham, host Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon in Towney, who are being managed in 2022 by former Kilcar boss John McNulty.
