Donegal TD urges government to implement a local authority led housing policy

A Donegal TD says the influx of Ukraine Refuges into Ireland may finally force the government to provide funding to renovate derelict and unoccupied homes across the country.

Deputy Thomas Pringle says the government must end the reliance on the private sector to solve the housing crisis

The Independent TD says a public housing building programme led by local authorities is the best option to address the crisis.

He says Government policies have let down the most vulnerable in society in particular those with disabilities.

Speaking to Ocean FM News Deputy Pringle says with many Ukraine refugees arriving here the government will have to look at alternative housing options.
