New Northern Ireland Border Legislation discussed in Dáil

The Dáil last night heard concerns over the situation regarding people that are not Irish or British  having to get a visa waiver to enable them to cross the border in Ireland.

It’s after MPs at Westminster recently to reinstate the requirement for a US-style visa waiver for non-Irish EU citizens crossing the Border as part of proposed new UK immigration laws.

Sinn Féin TD Pearse Doherty last night sought clarity from Minister Coveney on the implications of legislation going through Westminster.  He also called for every effort to be made to tray and have the legislation changed.
