Sligo Councillor calls for changes to Covid-19 Isolation rules



A Sligo Councillor and Businessman  is calling on the government to reduce the period of time required for Covid isolation.

 

Cllr. Donal Gilroy says man small businesses have had to curtail their opening hours and services as a result of staff shortages.

 

The Fianna Fáil Councillor says staff shortages are also an issue for the public sector.

 

It’s being reported that the government is considering changing the 7-day rule as staff shortages increase during the latest wave of the virus.

 

Cllr Donal Gilroy says many businesses are suffering significant absenteeism.
