Donegal LGFA minors lose again

There was disappointment for Donegal girls minor footballers on Saturday as they lost out to Monaghan at St Mellon’s Park in Truagh in their latest round-robin game, on a final scoreline of 3-13 to 0-9.

The concession of early goals proved costly again for Francie Martin’s side as Donegal suffered their third consecutive defeat in this year’s minor championship.

The result means they cannot now qualify for the final of the plate competition in this year’s Ulster minor football championship.

Donegal’s final game in the year’s minor championship will be against Antrim next Saturday, April 2nd.

There were better fortunes for the Donegal boys minor footballers on Saturday as they beat Derry in Owenbeg by 1-11 to 0-11 in the Ulster minor football league.

Ulster LGFA Minor Football Championship
Monaghan 3-13 Donegal 0-9

Ulster (Boys) Minor Football League
