There was no joy for Leitrim hurlers in Saturday’s Allianz League Division 3B semi-final against Longford at Glennon Brothters Pearse Park, as the home side ran out victors by 1-26 to 2-13.
Longford led by six points at half-time, 0-16 to 1-7 – this afternoon Joe Murray had given Leitrim the perfect start with a goal in the game’s opening score.
However, Longford over the balance of the 70 minutes, fully deserved their 10-point win – and they now prepare to take on Fermanagh in the Division 3B final.
