New leader means new beginning claims local Labour Party representative



A north west representative for the Labour party has backed the party Leaders calls for a mini budget and a national pay rise to tackle the rising costs of living.

 

Ivana Bacik was elected as the head of the party after her nomination was unopposed yesterday.

 

Already she has called for measures aimed to help those most impacted by the cost of living.  The measures include a national pay rise and a mini budget to tackle the ever increased costs of living.

 

Former local and general election candidate for the Labour Party in Sligo Leitrim, Nessa Cosgrove says there is a real sense of a new beginning for the party.

 

Nessa Cosgrove says people in the north west would benefit for the proposals being sought by the new Labour Party Leader.
