Good weather to remain for rest of the week

People throughout the north west are being encouraged to make the most of the nice weather this week.

Temperatures are set to rise to 18 degrees in parts with the warmest conditions in the midlands and western counties.

The mercury will hit 16 degrees in Limerick and Kerry today which will make it hotter than parts of Portugal.

But Carlow Weather’s Alan O’Reilly is warning we should not put away all the warm clothes just yet.
